Not surprised!
This deal confirms my feeling that CEO's of oil and gas companies are incapable of just being happy making money to give back to investors via dividends, special dividends and share buybacks. The token divy increase was meant to try to placate those looking for dividends. Instead of share buybacks, millions of new shares are being issued.
I am not saying that the deal itself is a bad one, only that management egos are too high to just being happy giving back to shabeholders. It's called empire building !
I don't think Eric will be impressed!

This is a great deal. What are you talking about? Buying more assets and raising the dividend 25%! This is going to open at $4.00. Better get your order in

argon12...If it does indeed open above 4 (which I doubt) I would be a seller (and perhaps buy back later). As the price will at least hit 3.75 in the short term.

You mean you own shares of TVE Condor1??? Normally your posts indicate that the company you are posting on is going to go down and that you are going to wait until it hits a sp level you are comfortable with. At what sp did you buy in at?

masfortuna...yes I hold a small positon in TVE...at a higher price (4.25). Not happy today with their latest buy. Stock will very likely hit 3.75 today or tomorrow. Will continue to hold stock for now.

This also puts a higher value specifically on all the other Clearwater players. Like bte which nutsac owns lots of.

Another CEO that likes banks better than shareholders. Is there a shareholder that wanted him to make this deal? These guys should be tossed in jail, serious/not serious. Really, think about it, doing the opposite of what the owners of the company want. I'm not a shareholder, so just spit balling assumptions, but....pretty sure I'm right.

I agree with Maxmoe. Another thing : a deal like this one (or any other M&A) shows that the players in the industry believe in the longer term possibilities of the sector and this is good news for all of us investors. GLTA
