TVE conversation

Spoke to a freind with a large position in tve.Told him how curious I was about what we have bought from CNRL.He was shocked.Brian said going forward they would not buy anything more in the lunch and learn because of our deep inventory.Told him the CNRL deal was done before he made that comment.Well he said I thought we were reducing debt how does spending money on new assets help that? I explained there are two deals done with pointbreak and Mancal where we have sold over 1000 wells tons of pipe and facilities which will allow us to buy those assets, which must be of strategic importance, and stay on the debt reduction timeline.Besides which there is a ton of aro liabilities which go with it meaning no future cash drain for that.Sounds like a whole bunch of slight of hand mumble jumble to me and he sold his stock next day.Just goes to show in the market what is good news to me is bad to someone else.

Hello, have to think at this point there  is some onus on Brian and Mgt to deliver for shareholders , their track record on communication and delivery is not good and the shareprice reflects this , debt estimates are all over the map , share buybacks really seem to be an afterthought rather then a central priority ( wouldn't they be buying here hand over fist at $3)  , the $37 wti ...more

Hello Benny , Brian also said in the same week that 900m could possibly be reached in q3 or q4 2024, you are 100 percent right he has access to the most accurate and latest information , is it met in Jan 2024 or Nov 2024 , I defer to others on here as my knowledge is limited but it would seem to me that shareholders will never realize the "up to" 25% return threshold as it was reached in ...more

Need to go back and check his wording but I know when he was talking about second half of 2024 he was refering to hitting the second level or 50% trigger whoch is 500 to 900 mil.I share anyones frustration on getting info as I have sent numerous emails with no reply. The answer is a good IR guy which was brought up in the lunch and learn.

Maybe this will help.Firstly we hit the number when the buyback is triggered.Brian then goes to the board and says this is what we plan to do If they argree the buybacks start.Think is is why steve said the buybacks will start after the fourth quarter late feb 2024 report as the board will have met to review the numbers and give the go ahead. The good news is the fcf from jan and most of feb will ...more
