TVE share buy-backs start next week
My hypothesis is that no buy-backs have occurred yet. The real upward price pressure will start next week.
On page 26 of the investor presentation is says Q42023 is when they expect to hit their debt target that triggers a 25% shareholder return. There is a small note below that says it will be paid AFTER the release of the respective quarter. I interpret that to mean the buy-backs will start after the earnings release on Feb 28th.

Thanks for the info. Too bad, I was hoping that catalyst wasn't already built into the share price. Still looking forward to a killer earnings release next week!

There is more than one kind of catalyst. I would be pleased if they announce that they are on track, or even ahead of schedule in: (1) retiring debt (2) NCIB (3) guidance for '24.

TVE bought back and cancelled 1.5million shares in January. Click on the Insiders tab above to see the transactions.

Buybacks will do nothing with float this size. Maybe after a few years of buying 2 or 3 million shares a month but not now.

Looking at quarter 4 I think things will be steady eddy.As been mentioned debt coming down shares being bought back and operations being very positive. There has been a lot of noise about consolidation in the clearwater. We are clearly not a buyer but I think tve would be open to a merger deal if the cards are right.HDX and Spur being the best options..

I hope there is no transaction the premiums being paid are extremeley low, I would hope that at least for the time being the stock be given some room to run. Does anyone have any idea if arc has finally sold out their position? Is it the shortes keeping this company down? Is it simply there are to many choices and perhaps better balance sheets in the space?
