this does not reflect the full potential of our land ... is going to prove out bigger... so this little exercise doesn't reveal the full potential of what will happen as we get better at waterflood but it shows what's going on and not having to buy new land is a much larger advantage then most people are aware of

The author's view was it suited Buffet's methods and the Permian was not really oil exploration. OXY knows the geology and knows the oil is there.
