Funding for the project comes from the Clean Energy for Rural and Remote Communities program. The six-year, $220-million program aims to reduce reliance on diesel in rural and remote communities by deploying and demonstrating renewable energy, encouraging energy efficiency and building local skills and capacity.

Why is the pioneer deal taking so long to close? Do we need a new law firm? Are there stinky assets like abandoned wells involved? Tamarack just closed a deal in what, a few weeks?. It's a "friendly" deal. There are no minority public shareholder issues so wtf is the hold up? No reply, or 12 replies, from pumptard please.

Thanks, I was wondering if the AER was slowing it down because they were reviewing the deal if it included a bundle of abandonment liabilities.
