Sitting Duck

The thought crossed my mind today that TWM is a sitting duck.

If the HDRD facility gets stabilized, TWM and LCFS quickly look like a takeout candidate.

It's certainly not why I bought shares as I am more of a buy and hold investor, but at the current price there could certainly be a bid come in that makes this all go away.

If I was Brookfield I would certainly be keeping an eye on this.

Right, you have BIP which runs a midstream division and also Enbridge who love doing these little tuck-in acquisitions and can pay for TWM out of petty cash. I'd be surprised if it wasn't taken out in the next year or so - but even if not, the value proposition is there.   The stock price won't go anywhere until there's clarification as to what's going on - probably ...more

I honestly doubt that. This is way too small for Brookfield or Enbridge to be interested in, has failed to show an ability to produce positive free cash flow and just sold its prime asset. The only asset of real interest is HDRD, but it has operational issues right now and I wouldn't be surprised to see guidance cut significantly; at least that's what the share price is telling us. Isn't your rationale exactly why they would want to consider acquisition?  Sentiment is deflated, investors are moving their capital elsewhere and operations need to be straightened out.  Buy, fix, look for the next one.
