Wildcatter quite wrong
Certainly something has been festering because it just exploded, but he is wrong about most things.
There are three markets for nat gas on island. 1. Petrochemical industry is one and they are lacking feedstock and have been waiting for more gas to come on line from offshore wells. 2. !00 percent of the elctricity on the island comes from natural gas power plants. 3. They have a LNG facility to export 2-3 BCF, though that is suplied by Shell from off shore wells. Oil and gas has been mainstay of Trinidad economy for more than 50 years and right now they are SHORT of natural gas and it is ghgurting there economy.
They have a huge and underfilled natural gas line than runs northwest to south east right across the center of the ortoire block with a valve station right near cascadura and another further souith in cebter of block and not far from Royston. Actually Coho is the furthest away from a valve station but that is just north of central block which has gas pipeling and a processing plant.
The price is somewhere just under $2.50 at the well head. The NGC does all permitting and gathering and gets it into the pipelines, just like a good mid-stream partner in Canada or US. Except the permittinmg should be easier since they are a government function.
Anyway, it is gas in high demand, not stranded gas. And the price is plenty high enough for very good profits.
Anyway I actually thing that Wildcatter is actually right about AVV - it is a pretty good value story but it can't grow much at the moment because tit is hard to put capital there. And horizontal wells are expensive and have high decline rate. You have to keep drilling to keep production constant. But TXP is a big time GROWTH story and will be much more profitable much quicker. It is actually compelling to me.
The fact that AVV is a pretty good value (especially if oil prices really recover) has NOTHING to do with touchstone. It is not like there is one good stock in the world. But I must admit right now TXP is my highest convixction small cap growth stock by a mile.
It is human nature that someone always messes up these boards once they get to certain size. I loved Raging Bull long as there were 10-20 persons on a board sharing good information. But when it got to 100 on a board there were always 5 who ruined the whole thing. I don't know how you make them go away, in fact eventually I just go away if they become too obnoxious. Wildcatter is one of them - he did go away a long time but he was saving up a lot of nonsense for his return. He could leave again if I had my way. Which I don't. You can moderate the boards of course - the board in London seems to do that pretty well.

Wildcatter clearly ran out of Aqua Velva on the rocks!! Dry as a bone he is blabbering all over the boards about how much money he made calling TXP to 50 cents (now 2.19) and AAV in the blocks at 2.2 (now 1.7). I am taking up a collection to buy and send him some 2021 Windex...takers? Happy New Year Lev

wildcatter is an idiot, he said I never owned any TXP, but never even bothered to check my posts back in December 2019 to see that I was trying to give everyone a heads up at the time as I had bought a bunch in the 30 cents range.

I put him on ignore a long time ago, but still keep hearing about him on a daily basis. Those that keep talking about him keep adding fuel to a subject that shoud be ignored totally...Just an opinion...
