Trading Pattern

Can someone explain to me the pattern of trading, 100 share increments Morgan Stanley from Cormark over and over again. Then down a penny at 1 minute before the close.

I guess they're playing some kind of trading game but I just don't get it.

Ant enlightenment would be helpful

Thanks in advance

Lurk & Learns + TaffyPalmer: This particular trading pattern may have started on or about the time of the Chinook NR circa March 31st. Highlight(s) included but limited to the (seemedly relieving) major TXP purchase by Cormark. Perception at the time was price support after the PPS got a 30% haircut. Appears to follow a pattern seen with other stocks that issue PR's that underwhelm ...more

Waiting for that " Good News " day next month, when some Big Wig ups the BId side and powerfully plows through Houses 73 and 79.. Expect it will  be a Short, scrambling to  cover and dare I say it,, but probably Cormark # 73. ., judging by how intensely they are capping any advance at $1,40.

What is the implication then?

DB: Not exactly sure what you are asking, but on July 28th Proselenes wrote a good Summary on the " capping " manoevre " and the possible reasons. , as in Scenario A nd Scenario B. It was also published in ADVFN.   THe gist of his explanation was to hold back the price for the Hedge Fund until either Royston firms up either way, and or it is established that a Debt ...more

Lurk & Learns + TaffyPalmer: Went back and read Proselenes's post of July 28th and got a refresher on the (posssible) intention(s) of a Hedge Fund or other TXP PPS "capper". Link to that (excellent) speculation is replicated for those who may not have seen same: Proselenes's Analysis/Speculation of TXP PPS "Price CRapping" BWDIK - GLAP - Cavet Emptor ...more

Lurk & Learns: Speaking of bananas, YouTube gets into multiple explanations (aka a plethora) of (alleged) hedge fund types "attacks". The one that seems to give (oddly using the example of bananas) the most plausible explanation: Short Ladder Attack (SLA) - a Primer Most of the recent PB update seems to be addressing the (expectation??) of a bad news scenario (e.g. like we ...more

yes stanley the txp and indeed the world is affecting txp share price..lol.. or maybe it is the realization selling gas in Trinidad ain't a slam dunk.. the country has so much more gas resource than it will ever need.. it is a lousy place to invest in the gas bizz unless you are a middle man like NGC just a toll taker.. a producer\?  requires estraordinary patience and while you waited ...more

Lurk and Learns: The question remains the motivation and consortia (?) involved in a Broke 73 led "zero net sum game" , (ostensibly legal); but morally unethical? If we do a YTD analysis (based on Pro's suggestion of a shorting start date); we might get a feeling for the "overhang" that MAY remain. But be careful to keep in mind that this "pack of shorters" ...more

my suggestion is simply this.. instaed of chasing conspiracy theories, which usually are a big waste of time... maybe do some real due diligence. this board is sorely lacking in any sensible talk.. we have that proleses poster pumping like no tomorrow and a bunch of whack jobs thinking the world is agaist poor txp and txp should be worth so much more...lol NO! txp is over priced and if royston ...more

Lurk and Learns: The ultimate goal of the (alleged) shorters or (speculated) arbitrageuse (re DB wrt short-long strarategy today on ADVFN) remains "a mystery" maybe, maybe not. However, the tale of the tape has Broke_R # 73 up early today and doing their $0.005 "price capping" (how cute is that precision). Does this suggest that we are close to clearing the overhang ...more
