Touchstone's Gas to NGC vis a vis The "Dragon Deal"

Lurk & Learns:

While we await Touchstone's transition from that of a legacy oil producer to a possible significant gas producer, some of the questions wrt the timing of other possible contributors/sources to alleviate TT's gas shortage, vis a vis Touchstone's CURRENT (nascent) advantageous positioning, can be inferred/extrapolated by my Lurk & Learn's. i.e. TODAY, this point in time, if any.

With the timing question being put into context with the following TTT interview (expert with TT experience) by those prepared to watch the entire presentation:

Trinidad and Tobago and the Dragon Deal

The foregoing does not preclude those player(s) mentioned in the interview to see what  CPM (tuck-in) options/opportunities are available to them while waiting for "first gas" from the major ofshore (& transnational) fields and finally BG. i.e. time to first gas vis a vis Touchstone's (niche) advantage.

And while we (a)wait for the commissioning stage of Cascadura to 60M, PLUS Royston on pump, Coho water isolation packer install, Rio Claro block exchange etc) to play out we COULD have a DERISKED Touchstone (land package c/w drill targets) possibly getting the attention by those who FULLY understand the "tuck-in" opportunity being presented.

Point being, it would be malpractice or utter incompetence if this analysis is not already availible to ANY of the serious, vested (dis)interested "macotious majors", with their ONLY barrier to entry is at what time/PPS would justify a TOO. And the end/long game?

Anyone thinking about WHEN the Ukraine/Russia confilct finally ends, that Russia c/would be allowed (like Venezuela in the Dragon Deal) sanction (gas to EURO exemption) in return for humanitarian food & medical relief of the damage incurred by Russian population/economy due to the conflict.  BWDIK?

Let me remind you, Cascadura is the first major gas plant in over 20 years located in the RIo Claro jungle/forest, Wolf Fish and all. And, if we subscribe to the theory/law of Unintended Consequences. A fact lost with those who are prepared to expound (post facto)  on how it should have been done.

Any Project Commissioning WILL have it's (mostly unpredictable) setbacks, maybe a fact (aka data point) not lost on the "shorts" I so often report on. And it does not have to be a big block. Just counter intuitive (yes even from 0.02 to 0.05% of the OS, is still a (tell) 250% increase).

GLTAL GLAP Caveat Emptor

Cheers

Good points on the difficult TT operating environment but the "short" point makes no sense to me. As per your short chart, there were 3 times more shorts back on June 30th (stock closed at $1.06 that day) than on Oct 31st (stock price closed at $0.92 that day). Over 200k shares were covered in that time period and stock price still went down 15%. Even if some good news came out (we would ...more

Lurk & Learns + matt2018: matt2018: Look no further than a recent post by DAN that you quoted to get the point that I alluded to. See also the two October shorts that I highlighted. See those covered on the Nov 15th update and the 30th when it gets published. Lurk & Learns:  The London board have been inundated with "tree shakers" recently. This is also a strategy ...more

Fair enough stanley.  All legit and plausible scenarios. You hear quite often at this time of the year, "the stock has accelerated down due to tax loss season". The real question should be .....why is the stock in a tax loss selling position?. Not everything that goes wrong is the fault of the guy at the top but the buck has to stop somewhere. It comes with the territory.

The first part of this is not specific to TXP. in addition to just selling your holdings and move along, shareholders have every right to praise, critisize, disaprove and demand better from management of any company they are invested in. If public company has issues with this, then take the company private and operate anyway you like and not have to answer to common shareholder. Actrivist ...more

Lurk & Learns + Matt2018: Matt2018: So we do have some common ground: RE: "At the same time, I expect operations to improve over time." Best of Luck with your future plans with Touchstone and your other holdings. Lurk & Learns: The foregoing exchange, is a daily occurrence on the Discord board. Something that we have come to expect over the past decade here on ...more
