Paper Excellence Reportedly In Discussions To Take Domtar Private: Based on the potential transaction price referenced in the Bloomberg story of mid-$50s valuation, Domtar may potentially be sold at an enterprise value of $2.9 billion.This equates to 5.6x consensus 2021 EEBITDA and 6.0x consensus 2022 EEBITDA. By comparison, softwood pulp peers (CFXandMERC) are currently trading at only 4.2x consensus 2022 EEBITDA, while graphic paper peer Resolute (not particularly great comp) trades at 5.8x.
