NAV = $10.40 on September 20

NAV has increased about $1 since January and the stock is unchanged.

Are you serious? The stock is trading at a 50%+ discount to NAV per share (52% recently) and you can't buy it? You may have to bid it up to the point where it's only selling at a 49% discount to NAV per share. You need to understand that closed-end funds historically have tended to trade at a discount. It's one of the great mysteries of finance. And it has much to do with the fact there aren't very many closed-end funds anymore--relative to, say, the number of mutual funds. But the relentless 50% or so discount of Urbana is extraordinary. My angle is that obscure, thinly traded public companies in Canada are very vulnurable and there is always a high risk (from experience) that something is going on behind the scenes to one way or another let management or certain shareholders/investors get away with a lot of money without actually providing anything, and that due to the nature of Canada's flimsy securities enforcement and ...more
