Change in management

There is some speculation on the Orvana Minerals (ORV) board that there could be a merger with USA that would result in the removal of Darren. I encourage you to check it out. I find it interesting how knowledge of Blasutti as a total disaster has spread elsewhere.

Beluga2020, This is not about Blasutti! The question which I asked was whether gold production at Relief Canyon has been a total disaster? True or False? As I speculated in my post on the ORV board, "The second possibility is that Blasutti's gold production at Relief Canyon is far higher than gold sales, and that he is sandbagging for the purpose of making his numbers look good when he ...more

UngroundValue, 1. Did management meet their Q1 2020 deadline for bringing Relief Canyon into commercial production?   The answer is NO! 2. How did they do on first year tons and ounces stacked?   The answer is approximately 50 percent of the planned 88,000 ounces stacked. 3. What about gold recovery which was supposed to be 78 percent of the ounces stacked? My guestimate  ...more

Bringing a mine into production ain't what used to be.  Even the best miners (and USAS is hardly one of them) are having problems meeting expected production, grades and recovery.   As I see it, nothing is working out in favour for the company right now and they need a break.   So, I am reluctantly willing to give USAS the benefit of the doubt and the extra time ...more

Thales42, If you are a sophisticated investor which you are (along with anyone who goes long in the PM space in the face of bankster price manipulation of the POG and POS), you will realize that there are multiple layers to this story. 1) At the macro level, you see fiat money printing like never before, comex manipulation of fraudulent paper gold contracts to keep the price of real gold as low ...more

Ganndolf,  your message is loud and clear and yet I do not think you can compare Fortuna with  USAS as the former is known for its success whereas the latter is becoming a failing company thanks to series of management missteps. Aside from the marked difference in the quality of management, USAS does not seem to have the critical mass to operate multiple projects and RC is a prime ...more

Thales42, Fortuna Silver offers a clue of what may happen next.  Like Americas Gold and Silver, Fortuna is having its share of start up issues at Lindero.  They have decided to bypass the SART plant because of low copper levels, and the heap leach is still in the ramp up phase. So what do you do when your low grade heap leach gold mine is underperforming??? The answer is acquire a ...more

...or Roxgold's!   :)

In the case of USAS, with RC badly lagging, and Cosala still not in production, I would not be surprised if the next move would be to follow Fortuna's example The difference is that Fortuna had a richly valued currency that ROXG shareholders were willing to accept.  Who will take USA paper?
Comment by ganndolph1 on May 02, 2021 9:29pm
tigris72poo, ROXG shareholders have not voted in favor of the Fortuna Silver acquisition offer which prices Roxgold's gold ounces in the ground at $420 USD/oz, so the offer amounts to a steal. In the case of a merger of USAS with ORV, USAS could offer up to 0.9 share of USAS for ORV and if Fabulosa went along with this deal, ORVMF would be repriced at $1.93 USD per share.  As an ORV ...more
