Pretty smart of the new guys to keep Darren around for awhile whether you like him or not,he probably has vauable info about operations of the company, he's been replaced and will depart sometime in the near future but a brain drain from him to the new management is a good move imo

Agree!  He probably has been offered golden handcuffs to help with the handover/transition.  I sincerely hope that, if we are wrong and it a golden parachute/early goodbye, it is made out of product from Relief Canyon. :)

Interesting tidbit in the Info Memo/Circular If the Transaction Resolutions are approved and Closing occurs, it is expected that each of Darren Blasutti, Alex Davidson, Christine Carson, Alan Edwards and Manuel Rivera will resign from the Americas Board and each of Paul Huet, Scott Hand and Peter Goudie will be appointed to the Americas Board by the Americas Board, such that the post-Closing ...more

I did read that, my thoughts is that he's being kept around to oversee the Mexican operations but clearly part of the deal was that he be deposed of the CEO role, Huet had been in waiting for quite awhile, in the conference it was mentioned he came in last year as an adviser to Sprott, so hopefully the turnaround moves quickly since he's been around the company for at least a year and ...more

I wonder if Darren will be dropped in the middle of the Mexican Gov't's plan to increase mineral royalties?  Like Joe Schleprock of Flintsones' fame or Joe Btfsplk from L'il Abner, bad luck and rain clouds seem to follow him everywhere.
