I'm out and dumped all shares

hopefully the last lesson in stupidity for O&G.  added meg with the proceeds.  the insider selling was the last straw.  the company is run by a group of people who apparently do not believe the stock will recover.  i would be interested in the story again when we see curtis hicks and others start adding shares on the open market to prove they believe.

Go ahead.  I added MEG and Trican with the proceeds.  I hope Vermilion recovers but I have very little faith in the management and think the company is under poor guidance. If we ever see meaningful insider buying or deleveraging by asset sales in Europe, I might be interested again.

That's exactly why I'm staying.. the Nat Gas assets are what will maintain cash flow while oil (WTI) gets back to over $50 and when it does this company will be a cash cow to milk.. as are many others with a relatively good balance sheet at $50 WTI

Got to admit Trican chart is looking like a strong base was built and a good trend is in place... don't think you can go wrong with that trade long term..?

Trican is right now focused 95% gas-liquids work in the Montney and Deep Basin. All we need is for liquids pricing to improve which is my projection based on a tigh C5+ differential with rising condensate demand required to fill new Line 3 pipes + Keystone + Enbridge optimization increases given last year and into 2021. I think Trican will be a top winner here because their fleet is suited for ...more

They are "projected" to be a cash cow, I agree, in addition to strip natural gas prices in Alberta and Europe. But you have to question why the IR guy might sell all of his wife's holdings that he acquired in 2019 if he believed his own presentation. I watched the ATB Financial interview with Hicks and it sounds like they are giving them substantial probelms in Europe with ...more

You have to remember insiders have immediate tax obligations when they are awarded stock I see a lot of other awards of stock that did not result in selling as well, so to me the insider info is neutral. The investor relations guy is the mouthpiece of management, the guys in the field know better what is happening but in most companies only guys at the top will have the big picture.

People sell for many different reasons. Maybe they needed the money?
