gaps all the way up... Im very itchy to jump feet first with a 12k shares... I ride sh'thole OVV from 3.65 to my Sell today... sold my almost 3k shares there... if that trash can run to upper 20s I see no reason this can't fill those glaring gaps from 12 months ago
Comment by baranja on Feb 19, 2021 1:05pm
Fascinating.. Good for you man. OVV and VET were $60 companies,.. OVV went back to $30 while this dog vomit is dirt scratching in $7 range. I have never even consider OVV.  How did you decide OVV? a coin flip?

OVV dropped from 30+ to under 3$ in 2 months... It was a no brainer... I just recently noticed VET has barely scratched the surface on recovering to Pre Covid Prices... IMO which comes 1st VET @ 20 or OVV at 90....
Comment by baranja on Feb 19, 2021 2:04pm
VET was similar. Droped from 20 ish to 2.5 ish,.. but the dog vomit never recovered. you were lucky to pick OVV.

This is exactly how I chose a year ago... This investing error was because the coin landed on VET... Oh well; nobody died...

Texas lost 4 gigawatts from wind and 26 from gas. Is gas a scam as well? All Texas had to do was winterize their equipment. Why isn't Alaska out of power? Or Alberta? Sweden? Norway? Isn't it odd how only Texas is out of power? Well that's because Texas deregulated so that companies could make more profits. They didn't winterize their equipment, not for wind, and not for gas ...more

Winterizing a plant is an incredible addition Expense for construction...
Comment by RevT79 on Feb 18, 2021 10:20pm
This is not like those plants are like brand new ...... multiple winter have pass without this happening! The climate change is real ! bringing all kind of weird weather  as the warmer oceans change the airstreams everywhere on the plannet.

I work construction management for IMO/XOM the additional cost of electrically tracing everything, controls, insulatuion, manpower etc is actually very expensive if this is only beiing added for freeze protection. Obviously this cost would be justified when comparing potential costs of repairs and loss of production in the event of an unplanned event like Texas has encountered

From my experience electrical tracing was not too reliable .I remember Glace Bay Heavy Water Plant 1.0 . Brown and Root did the tracing and the whole town of Glace Bay Nova Scotia almost got a huge cloud of SO2 as a consequence.

If you have any evidence that what I wrote isn't true, please share. Don't pull this QAnon trick of asking a question and pretending the answer to it is "somewhere out there". Texas is out of power but somehow cold weather isn't stopping Alberta wind farms, German solar plants, or Oklahoma gas plants. The reason for this is simple. Texas is split from the rest of the country& ...more

I think the answers are somewhat simpler.  Electricity demand more than doubled due to increased space heating demand . the system had been designed and regularly operated under reduced wind power production . A lot of their nat gas is associated gas production from a vey large number of wells for which many wells are stripper wells (so no one is going to spend a lot of money winterizing them ...more

Thinking things over. what happened is unbelievable. Texas produces over 30 BCFPD of nat gas and there is a lot more offshore and in neighbouring states. I don't know what the answer is but if it is what I suspect we will probably never get the straight answers !!

No different from the USA housing crash of 2008 Canada didn't have a problem. We regulate our banks and our oil companies. How about Cruz going somewhere warm because he had no heat ???????

ERCOT serves only Texas, as does the Texas Reliability Entity. No other entities have authority over the state's energy producers because the energy producers have all agreed not to extend power beyond state lines, which would have opened them up to federal regulation. So yes, I do have my facts correct. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electric_Reliability_Council_of_Texas https://en ...more
