The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation is probably the worlds largest private charitable foundation. I am not aware of them using their foundation for other than charitable deeds. Unlike other foundations that seem to be hell bent to destroy the Canadian Petroleum Industry.  Perhaps we should spend more time dealing with the devils we do know rather than the devils we don't know !!

Oldnagger, you are very naive and I'm very disappointed in you. Bill and Melinda Gates started their charitable foundation when their reputations were at their lowest and they were exposed as greedy and only interested in their bottom line (wealth). Bill Gates was raised in an environment of controlling world population and his agenda is the same as his father's.

I didn't intend to defend Bill Gates ( I was a victim of PC-Dos ) but I do have a lot of admiiration for Melinda. I still believe their foundation is legitimate and very much needed. As I recall their foundation was started at the behest of and bolstered by Warren Buffet, I believe he would have made his objections known if things were not on the up and up.
