Global vax rates are still very low, and even in the UK,  with high vax rates, cases are soaring.

Might be... but deaths and hospitalization rates are VERY low for the Delta variant.... yes it spreads easier, and even fully vaccinated ppl can get it. But it’s FARR less lethal. Death rates are still declining even as case counts climb.... and we havnt seen that yet. So while more infectious, Delta is way less lethal. Studies have found its on par with getting a cold. TPTB might try another ...more

Whatever the issue, be it a 4th wave, climate change measures , the collapse of Opec , excessive debt loads, revival of the Permian etc. We are faced with excessive fear generated by professional fear mongerers ! I belive we have reached that point where the consensus among pretty much everyone worldwide is that no economy, no matter how strong can afford another lock down. The mindest now is that there is a vaccine available and if your are the type of person who wants to exercis their right not to get vaccinated then you are that type of person who is willing to die for their principles. And the world would probably be a far more sane and sensible place if the likes of "social media" supported by "main stream media" was never introduced but we are far beyond that point so now we just have to suffer from the output of the masses and I won't even begin to use adjectives to describe some of what gets distributed but you can see the result on a daily basis ...more
