Yup of course it was overdone company reported a $39.17 / boe COP, ~$450mm profit, ...... and we tank 11%??? this market is a complete sham  All you need to know:  The S&P O&G sector $895 B value & sales of $720 B.  $FB valued at $990 B & sales of $86 B.  $AAPL valued at $2.4 TR & sales of $246 B.  $TSLA valued at $700 B & sales of $31 B.  ...more

Unfortunately, you are right. Or perhaps fortunately you are right. I say fortunately in the case that the market returns some day to sanity . Some believe that the future of mankind is a sort of permanent lockdown down dominated by tech giants. Personally ,I believe that people will want to regain the freedoms they lost prior to Covid 19. Without the impairment reversal they would have posted a loss. Its a one time event and not derived from operations, so they get no credit for it. Such is life.
