Do you think this will continue go up. I don't know what I'm doing. Buying it, selling it. And losing money. It's like I can't hd the winners. But I'm holding a few lovers. I'm lost

As for returns.... I'll go further. Up 25% in 5 trading days and 52% in 1 month. So yes u are correct. Someone knows something and probably sees incredible value at current levels going down the road. That said.... How much further will VET rally from current it's current level anyones guess but, you know months down the road it will be higher than $12. I think, anyway. I'm going very ...more

I do believe and have said it before that a divi re-instated could bump the share by a buck.. so maybe this is what the driving factor is today.. I'm sure just like CPG they can forcast far enough out to consider introducing sooner rather than later.. ;-)

Vet is extremely undervalue ! Even if you buy a truck load now and wait for dividends to be reinstated it's a win win situation as dividends will make the sp go higher! they are printing money rigth now and have their focus on paying the debts! there was a new price target of 18$ cad that came out yesterday! we still prety far from that.

But Moe, even if it is factored in, I'm sure you still see the share price surging much more than-- say $13 a share?
Comment by clamlinguine on Sep 29, 2021 10:13pm
Nuttall posted a chart showing Vet could pay a 50% dividend at $80 oil if unhedged and strip nat gas. That's why I bought back in today.

As I posted earlier today at the price this morning I felt that if a divi was announced $14/share would be doable... might have to raise the target if the momentum continues.. ;-)

Vet still has too much debt for any dividend rumors. I'd sell if they did.

Two things Joe : Forget the past, it is totally irrelevant. Concentrate on the future. Read the presentation read the financials, if there is something you don't understand you will probably find many to help you. Very important is to try to understand the Oil industry. For VET it is the international Industry that is most important. You will need to sift through a lot of noise so start with ...more

I appreciate your knowledge and the time you take to try to help. I wonder about the fact I got in the market in Nov. 2007 and lost in 2008 and dropped out for 2 yrs when I shoulda stayed in. I know it damaged my ability to grow in investing. I tend to hang onto my losers and sell my winners.

I just took a position in VET today. 2 ways to play it.  Either you buy low (and it's usually low for a reason) and hope they can solve whatever the problem is OR you buy when it breaks through a certain value on the upswing. VET broke $10 US today and I bought it late this afternoon. The main reason it was trading so low is the price of oil had totally collapsed since 2014 (with the ...more
