LOL.. yeah I think I'll pass on that and just stick with collecting royalties.. its cleaner work.. LOL.. although, you're probably aware of this, but there are already private companies that do just that... called scrubbers.. they buy these low producers, work them over/stimulate so that some of the oil can still be produced.. of course they pick them up cheap, and now that the prices are ...more

I have Ipco and they seem to have done well even at low prices by swabbing nat gas wells. Are you familiar with the practice? I have a feeling it might become a more meaningful activity soon. Also I presume that higher pricing will lead to an exstension of well life for all producers !! (And reduced ARO costs )

Not so much for nat gas.. but oil.. and you're right.. these marginal wells will stay in play for much longer as many of them are older wells that have already paid off, so it doesn't take much production to cover costs on them and still recognize a profit..
