Dividend timeline.

  • We plan to reinstate a dividend in Q1 2022. Although it is still subject to board approval, our intention is to reinstate a fixed quarterly dividend (5-10% of FFO stress-tested at lower prices including US$55/bbl WTI) while continuing to focus on debt reduction. As further debt targets are achieved we will consider augmenting our return of capital through fixed dividend increases, share buybacks and/or special dividends. We will provide more details on our return of capital framework with our formal 2022 budget release in early December.

So good news, I would have liked the dividends sooner? That's why I bought this stock in the first place. I am good with the results so far this year. I think they are fulfilling the plan!! We will be in good shape in 22 if what all the analysts say comes through 100 plus oil.

Totally agree!! FCF will only increase with WTI, BRENT and Nat Gas remaining firm. Obviously seen. I'm confident 2022 will be decent regarding the energy sector. Weather will only get colder from this point on.  This is a pretty solid report in my mind, and if there is a coming sell off ( buy on rumor sell on news ).....I only see that as I glorified buying opprotunity. I can't see ...more

5-10% of FFO @ 55 oil puts the divvy at 12.6 cents to 25.2 cents in Q1

A nice clear press release. Results are as good as I hoped for, as is forward guidance. Hope they have a good story behind the 73 million the blew on a 1500 bbl/day aquisition.

I don't want to whizz in your cornflakes but it's a bit self ingratiating to applaud being "within pennies" if your prediction at $55 oil, (we are way past that ) was between double and quadruple what was announced. Points deserved for guessing the dividend being announced at all.
Comment by CashGreenGold on Nov 29, 2021 5:16pm
lol... read much? the prediction was for a 25.2 cent dividend.... what's a 6 cents qtrlly div?? 24 cents is pretty close to 25.2 no?

you don't follow this company do you? 5-10% is ~ $50- 100mm a year.... or a $0.30 to $0.60 a share payout
Comment by Maxmoe on Nov 29, 2021 5:42pm
No I don't follow it. Do you speaky thee hinglish? What's this mean to you ? to 25.2 cents in Q1"
Comment by CashGreenGold on Nov 29, 2021 5:57pm
lol...  you're  an idiot....  maybe if you'd been around, you'd know it was referring to the announcemrnt date ..
Comment by Commr51bkd on Nov 29, 2021 5:38pm
I am a CGG fan, but .06 in q1 is 50% to 75% less than his putative forecast of 12 to 25 in Q1, right? Not that I mind, I would prefer no dividend until the debt is paid off.

LOL... can't you read??? read the thread and see... --RE:Dividend timeline.

So if we use Q1 2021 as an indication of the FFO at $55US, the FFO was about $1.00 per share for the quarter. This announcement would imply a quarterly dividend of 5 to 10 cents per quarter. This will likely be too low to generate any price rise in the stock. I expect the stock to get hit tomorrow.
