I do not understand....
...why we are not seeing upward movement instead of down here. Perhaps one of the more intelligent posters, like oldsnagger could give me a lesson.

Has anyone seen this as being official?: "UK Conservatives just had a leadership race. They chose Liz Truss to be their new leader and Prime Minister. One of her first acts as Prime Minister was to overturn the UK’s ban on fracking."

Interesting move signalling a reversal by the Brits , Should probably take several years to implement https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-politics-62820639#:~:text=The%20government%20has%20lifted%20the,local%20concerns%20over%20earth%20tremors.

And all the greenie dreamers are already up in arms over it. Scotland I guess will rush their move to separate from the U.K. I thought they had more common sense -- after all one of my gradfather's was born there. And the other was from Northern Ireland. Common sense and logic!

I believe some of it is the fear around price caps and the major euro energy companies that are under water that may default. At least thats what the mainstream media is hyping recently.

Wouldn't the price caps be on the energy suppliers downstream ? Like our Enbridge ? Its a very ugly slippery slope if they cap the price from the explorers and producers. That is crossing a line into the fundamentals of capitalism aka suplly/demand. Not sure how they can dictate what the market price is.
