Windfall Tax

This is nothing more than politicians trying to look like they are doing something about Europes energy crisis. The energy industry had deep pockets and lawyers that would contest this sillyness and it will never pass! Where would that end? Windfall taxes on every industry moving forward as the government causes crisis here and there? Total nonsense and nothing more than political posturing for a crisis caused by politicians and sanctions.

Only answer is to lift the sanctions on Russia.

Europe is in big trouble!

It is ridiculous but they are doing it in a couple of Europe countries (Italy etc). I never understand why companies agreed to pay for it.  This is against constitution. Nothing but robery.

This is only happening because of the Russia / Ukraine threat, otherwise, this tax scheme would have never been introduced imho. As someone here stated earlier. They tried a similar scheme in the 80's and that pretty much fell flat on their faces. They see a mass " cash grab " opportunity so why not reach for it. Politics and nothing more. How many E&P companies actually support ...more
