Shock and Awe

I almost unloaded a portion of my position yesterday am, because I had a funny feeling. Then, decided to ride it out. I wish I hadn't. It would have been a really nice opportunity to pick up 6% extra shares.

For once I actually like how the long weekend is positioned. Hoping to see a big bounce tomorrow after a great earnings....

I was going to do some buying earlier but I'm staying put. I don't know if its the general market in the red, mid terms or the market senses VET's report won't be as solid as we are expecting. ? I'm holding off from buying more for now I bought more Pembina instead. Better yield.

This is about Canada's natural gas reserve and how it could benefit the country if there were no obstructions such as government and activists: (and of course, opinions on that are all over the map, none of which are capable of helping the situation  -- the power lies with the politicians, and we know where we sit with that in the present, as they pad the purses with fear mongering carbon ...more

Share wise discussion. I've placed several bids below $30. If it works, great, if not, I still have a reasonable position in VET. I don't mind buying on severe Red days as I have ample cash and going long ( several years). G/L.

Good luck with sub-$30. This could hit sub-$20. VET is notorious with surprise quarterly annoucements.

How would one predict a windfall tax ?  Is it their fault ?  LOL.  Anyways, what a difference a day makes. Seems like anything but major surprises to the upside makes the hamsters pull the sell lever immediately . Hopefully one day all the trader leaches will be out of this market and we'll get some longer term investors who still realize the oil industry has never been better .

WOW.. talk about an over reaction..!!! Down another $3 bucks..! BUY..!!! IMO Glad to see the NCIB cancelled.. never agreed with that for such a low float company anyways..!

Over reaction with all the oil plays after earnings ie, cpg, cve, vet etc. Buy the severe dip in the am and let reasoning bring it back .

Just bought some more shares, if Vet won't buy them for me , then I will buy them myself . While they are reducing their leverage, I am increasing mine to compensate . Hard not to buy something returning over 30 %

Well done  Oldnagger, ;>) Hope you got a few more near the 26 $$ level. We still hold this term INVESTMENT in  5 accounts & were considering Topping up 2 of them  BUT very over weighted right now in ALL accounts. Agree but there are some on the other forum stating VET could drift down as low to $20 - $22 Canadian level. Best to keep extra powder at hand. That's what I'm doing. Bought a bit inthe low $27 range. I have a feeling we could see $25 ?
