The long view

The LNG market is increasingly headed towards a long term market in Asia . Terms from 15 to 25 years are becoming common in many Asian countries. Europe seems to be gradually be coming around , yet many in Europe still believe in green schemes which are at the least vey costly. The effect on VET is two fold . Higher revenues from nat gas in Europe , plus a renewed emphasis on as yet undeveloped gas reserves in western Canada (needed to satisfy long term contracts in Asia , current proved reserves at a level of about 7.4 years in Alberta are very low )
The article below is long , yet very interesting

I see Kevin O'Leary on TV saying he is raising or attempting to raise $14B dollars to build a modern oil refinery in a State that will support it. Note - a Canadian entrepreneur raising money to build a refinery in the U.S.! Says it all about Canadian oil industry.

A subject close to my heart. I was a junior engineer on the last grass roots refinery built in North America and started up on October 14 ,1971. The start up was successful and the refinery ran very well in spite of all the ill wishers. All it takes is incredible skill hard work and dedication. In memory of that special  person who made the effort and now has long since been forgotten !!
