Vermillion Debt Reduction is of No Value
Vermillion has a history of paying $2.76 a year in annual dividend, in the last 4 Quarters they have generated 750 million in FCF or roughly $5 dollars a share.
While their assets continue to perform, there is meaningful production increases in Montney, Croatia, and wells drilled and tested to come on in Germany.
VET has met its debt target, and while they are only pay an anualized dividend of 48 cents they are swimming in FCF.
The market has not paid the shareholder of VET for their paydown of over 400 million in debt, they have reached their debt target so time to get on with life. Quit prolonging shareholder returns because accountants want and even more improved balance sheet? This is pathetic. The have a bankline of roughly 1.6 billion undrawn.
The fact for Vermillion is because they are so undervalue their number one objective should be to restore the value of the shares to a more competative trading range with its piers.
Putting more cash in share buybacks would essentially pay the interest on the debt, it provide a currency for VET so if they do go to the market and issue shares to raise capital, this can be done a a better price. If VET could sell shares at $30 dollars that has significant more future benefit then paying off 5% debt.
I think the actions here are holding down the share price, because their not embracing the fact they have low debt, a low share count, and high per share cash flow. It like management does not believe their shares should be trading at 40 dollars.
Mica buy itself looks like it could be a billion dollar asset, this is totally offside, and i think the CFO is running the company like he would run home finances.
IMHO

I am buying vet just because it is tooooo cheap, and shareholders are tooooo pessimistic. Here I believe is close to bottom. I just want to keep some of my money safe, collecting 3% dividends. The high tech bubbles could burst anytime but I think VET will stay here at the floor even the market crashes. in terms of SP appreciation, my expectation is very low.

Would be great to see VET do a special buyback in the next few quarters, eliminate 25% of the float, then incrase the divvy.

No problem. Once again, I just feel people deserve to know what they are dealing with when reading your pump and dump posts. Forewarned is forearmed. Have a nice day.

Its like this, if i have a different opinion then you, it offend you. Grow up. You attacks are alway of the personnel nature, it never has anything to do with company metrics. So sad.....

Your inability to see beyond your precious metrics and recognize your own bias is your greatest flaw. I only pray you are no longer managing the investment portfolios of your relatives because you are little more than a minimally informed gambler.

Haha, I remember it well, Quint. I hope this one works out. I'm considering a small allocation if this current weakness persists.
