I never average up on a stock but

I'll be making a substantial purchase Monday regardless of conditions

ya I don't like
the deal but ... I feel now that it's likely going to close amd there's nothing we can do

so ... if you can't beat em, join em... I'll take my chances with the combined company being balued at 14-18$ a share before chrostmas and will
cillect my dividend happily

still a 60-130% upside if you ask many people familiar with this deal ...

if someone could correct me here if im wrong....here goes.. so im thinking bout monday open buying up what i can in vii....the reason is is that if the deal goes through ill end up getting roughly ten% more shares with the arc deal... and that if the deal doesnt go through i feel vii will run up based on that fact alone as i still belive they are a better stand alone in this price environment.... ...more

If you do the caculation, you can usually buy VII generation for about 10 cents less a share then what are is trading for so i would buy VII generations. Also this deal is as rottent as it gets, it stinks and makes me want to puke, and i have complained to the CPP pension fund. I think they had all gone to Dubai to get their covid shots.  https://www.ctvnews.ca/business/head-of-canada-s ...more

Hi Regardless, I follow your logic and would probably do similarly if I was in your situation.  I have owned both VII and ARC at various levels over 3-5 years. Disappointed with the SP of both at times and made adjustments along the way.  The way I see it, if I am okay owning both stocks while they are separate, why wouldn't I stay with them and end up with the two same ...more

I rarely post here, but am a significant shareholder (in my mind) owning about 55K shares.  I will be voting NO for this deal, but without the CPP voting NO, this seems to be a done deal.
Comment by MyHoneyPot on Mar 01, 2021 9:59am
Write a letter to the CPP and the TSE. The proposed deal has zero proposed metrics comparing reserves.  The proposed deal fails to recognized current commodity prices.  The proposed deal fails to recognize the cash generation with just hedging for the year.  The proposed deal does not recognize that VII generations can likely produce twice the cash flow that arc could produce.  ...more

Well I made my play ... bought those 8000 shares this morning and gonna ride this stock out  my previous average is less than half of today price but I don't like this deal and still think we can get a no vote ..and I still think a white night comes out of the shadows also .../ good luck to anyone holding or buying shares here  the only way this deal is worth anything is if in q1 ...more

These low dividend numbers are crazy, and VII generations should be able to pay out a 1 dollar dividend.  Q1 If they announced a 1 dollar dividend starting in of Q3 25 cents a quater , they would have three quaters of cash flow ahead of that. They will easily be able to pay off 250 million in debt a quater. (750 million)  That is what they should do for the next three quaters have a ...more

Read the circular on Sedar. You will not be impressed. Vote now. The process was started in March at the bottom of the cycle Vote no.

Arx knows this is a good, no check that, a great steal, so they're trying to get a very quick close on the deal.  As it is now at $60 crude, this deal blows but IF there's more of a run in crude, this deal really really sucks for 7G shareholders and likely a good chunk of their employees too.

So 66 2/3 % on the seven hens side need to vote yes  based on the circular....I feel now we have a shot to see these companies stay separate I wonder why so high of a percentage need to vote yes for it to go through or am I reading that wrong

Whatever happened to the Alberta Pension Plan idea?
Comment by 325home on Mar 01, 2021 2:03pm
I have similar number of shares, plus I know two others who are at the same level. We are all planning on voting NO!
Comment by 325home on Mar 01, 2021 2:07pm
I  should have clarified. 55,000 shares x 3 (so 165k) plan on voting NO!
Comment by regardless on Mar 01, 2021 2:34pm
Im holding roughly 39000 shares and that's a no for me too bqck to my que at ion but does this deal actually need 66 2/3% vii voting yes?
Comment by MyHoneyPot on Mar 01, 2021 3:04pm
