Big Move, Low Volume

VLE up 10% on only 100K volume.
This stock just needs a little positive news and it sure would suck to be short....

Agreed - fundamentals would dictate this is a $5-$7 stock and I am hearing closing of Mubby is going to be announced any day now. Those that ran scared the last few days and those that sell today off of a 10% lift will regret it. Hold the line and let the shorts pay. GLTA

I am wondering when the dividends will be announced. Next ER at end of March?
Comment by wajac on Feb 23, 2023 2:42pm
What dividends are you talking about?
Comment by cyber37 on Feb 23, 2023 4:26pm
Overertune…..this is not the time for any type of dividend from VLE. Too early; first they need to sort out what they bought & actually finalize this deal. They also need to evaluate sustainability of all operations and see firsthand if there is some extra to pay out as dividends.  For mature field’s like they got those margins can be dicey. They also would have to set some money for ...more

Its in legal with 12+  different lawyers in the different connected countries and the regulators waiting for the bond to cover the USD 230 M clean up liabilities. So many things to go wrong.  This deakl should be done in 30 days like we did on EUR 900M divestment i'\ with 6 countries involved, in Dec nonetheless.

Where do you get your infomation from? If that was the case SG would not sign on, as you speculate, with "so many things to go wrong." International energy deals are being done all the time. For example, Pan Orient Energy's Plan of Arrangement with DIALOGUE was a 2.5 month process and entailed the sale of only 1,100 boe/d production on-shore Thailand. For this to be done is 30 days ...more

Don't respond to idiots.  They are paid bashers trying to cast doubt. Just put them on ignore.  This stock is worth 2x projected cash flow of $50 CAD net per bbl per day pretax earnings or $1+ million CAD a day. $7 to $10 a share.  Research capital has an $8+ target.

Agree. Sometimes though you just wanna reach out and hit them back with a reality check in case others are not aware of expected time frames in international business, even domestic deals take time, Enerflex's deal took almost 2 years.to complete. Stock has doubled in past few months since completion.

It took Valeura 7 weeks to close the Wassana Thailand deal. Valeura has a special purpose vehicle company SPV called Valeura Energy Asia doing the acquisitions.  Valeura was working on the Mubadala Thailand deal for over a year before it was announced in December.  Auctus Advisors is convinced that the deal will be closed in March.  See https://www.directorstalkinterviews.com ...more

Spoke with the reseach analyst at research , gathered a little more information on what he built his model on , there is nothing on future use of cash incorporated. Wheter it is returned or plowed into more accretive deals is not that relevant in early days. It is relevant in judging terminal value. Production and cash flow in juniors is notouriosly undervaled , KEI a perfect example ,, where it ...more

Its just normal multi country process and timeline.   I do recall it took VLE nearly a year or more to close Turkey shallows for peanuts, at 80% discount to appraised value, when they didnt need the Cash and Turkey govt prompt operators. If we can close a EUR 900M sale of ocmpanies in 8 countries in 30 days from FID there is no reason VLE cant unless seller playing usual Fatah games ...more
