Tax Loss CF

You guys can model no taxes payable and trading at 1/2 times CF if you want.  I'm perfectly happy modeling 50% taxes until such time they give some guidance on the subject.  If we knew for a fact that there'd be NIL taxes or a huge savings we'd be trading higher than this. If I've missed them providing this guidance, link it. You don't need to assume the best case, there's more than enough to justify a much higher SP's assuming 50% taxes. This beauty is these guys are just getting started and the big money is still on the outside, kicking the tires.

They haven't told us how much and when they can use this Kris Energy tax asset against Busrakham production.  I want to read confirmation on the subject, I'm not disputing the numbers on Sedar.

Management has confirmed they can use them but possibly not on all fields as they have different rules. But agree no need to bank on them. Should all come out in the reserve report in a few weeks. Disappointed they didn't disclose the cash position but current production was a win. Going to be a great buying opportunity over the next few weeks. GLTA

You actually think it will dip?  With 21,500 bopd confirmed, anyone selling is not of their right mind...

Too many retail punters in the story for it not to is my suspicion. The dumb money with paper hands.

Although i am not not considering selling you have to look at last weeks trading. The market ran the stock up to $3.34 on the expectation of a news release stating they had 21500 boe/d pumping from the new acquisition and also that they had 3000 boe/d pumping from Wassana. Well Friday night we reeived confirmation of one of these but not the other. Has the market already priced in this news? Maybe ...more

I wouldn't say the market was expecting Wassana. Most were expecting news on the recent acquisition. The vessel has a capacity of 460,000 bbls, several months capacity at 3500 bopd. It's meant to stay put for a long time to take in oil while transfer vessels come and go offloading the oil and transporting to port.  It should anchor nearby while the transfer buoy is repaired or ...more

The Jaka Tarub is sailing north towards Laem Chabang, a port north of Pattaya Thailand according to marinetraffic.com

Hmmm  does this mean it will not be a quick fix on the Buoy
Comment by firstworld on Apr 03, 2023 7:43pm
Might be towing a replacement which is far better than losing $150K day profits
Comment by SMlachake on Apr 03, 2023 8:52pm
That is a quick turnaround time since the news and she is sailing. Definitely looks like a fix plan in action. Love how these guys are making every day count.

Can you explain your line of thinking on this. To me I assume they pay a daily rate for the tanker and if they know they will not be needing it for a longer length of time would cut it loose to stop the daily charges.

Thx good to read sober and adult posters here!

I simply said events have turned around quickly and they must have already come up with a remedy,  quite positive timeline. I thought that is simple enough? What else need to be explained there? If you recorn they are doing it to save money, all the better. Means a lot more of that 21,500bpd @ $85, mostly tax free is going straight to the bank.
Comment by savyinvestor333 on Apr 04, 2023 11:54am
And you accuse me of posting " nothing of substance" lol They had a remedy within hours of the incident. FIX IT ASAP. I'm sure they have long lead times for specialized valves or other items on those Buoy's. I'm also sure all welds need to be x-rayed and the complete unit will need to be pressure tested. We would all be guessing as to a return to service date but with the ...more

So what is of substance here except your assumptions? A month or two delay on Wassana due to an incident not within management control is nothing to get any sane person excite about. Shouting 'fix it ASAP' as if in any control. Look buddy, they have taken the company from zero to 21,500 bpd in one transaction. Wassana can wait as much as needed. Over 1m daily cashflow is hitting the bank ...more

Please do as it is plain to see there is no room for a discussion with you. Every thought other than yours that gets posted is a hidden agenda or basher. No agenda for the 3rd time only discussing pertinent facts about the company. Maybe look at my profile picture and you will learn something. The other boards that you posted on tell me that this investment better work out for you as you try to ...more

The tanker is under a decade plus take-or-pay obviously, otherwise, it woukd habe not been rescued from the scrsppers in China and restored with modifications that undoubtedly cost milions. Posaible i surance will cover lost profit but who knows looks li,e they cut corners with no tugs on site to assist with connecting the ship in the first place.
