Next acquisition

Is going to blow the doors off .

Yes, your own door. They should execute first and stand on solid ground. One step after the other. So beside f.e. the 10% Wi in Nong Yao, they should do nothing. Any acquisition now or this year would destroy value/momentum and the Sp would tank, no matter what they buy/merger.

Anyone here still feel that they need more validation before believing that Sean Guest can execute and get new deals across the finish line?  Free cash flow machine in the making.... *there is every reason to trust management** long....

"Trust" is a very weak term in Canada.   Does two dilutions weeks after " no dilution" statement instill trust or just trust that they cant mznage cash flow very well haha. Can we trust SG to pay SH divs?  Its why we are all here - to earn. Franlkly after seeing SGs impaired speech and lost thought trains  on top of the broken trust on dilutions and the ...more

Come on firstworld, you're no beginner. It's the 52th time, that you mention this stuff. It's not about beeing honest, but smart and totally normal in business. "Ah, everything is fine and remember, we will dilute in 2 month, because the money is getting tight..." Ever read such a sentence ? Of course not and you know why, so get over this "trust/honest" stuff

Your philosophy perfectly reflects why Canada is still an agrairian economy with rest depemdent on soviet union style enterprise funding and protectionisim. Without trust and integrity there is nothing  but shady cowboys pretending to be firstworrld executives - a sight often seen in Canada where nearly all are coked up and on meds.   If you would have listened to me 2 weeks ago ...more

I lost nothing. I hold a core/fomo position at around $2, sold the non core around $3.30 and bought some back around 2.80 and 2.30. You can't be honest with the financing/diluting stuff, because the market will punish the share price 5 seconds after you said it...and your placement is toast. So in these cases, you must smell it for yourself and be thankful that the mm is not honest ...more

Yeah seems Sean is very aggressively and actively buying other assets.  Now everything is cheap during recession and they have the cash, why not? Waiting for 10$.

Look at the oil longterm chart...it's not cheap, it's in the upper middle. To buy stressed assets for pennies, you'll have to be patient. They were lucky (it seems as of today) to get away with it, to buy in a past prime bull market. You can't be always lucky...harvest and be patient...is the game now.

This weeks acquisition of remaining Wassana WI was not unexpected. Its my view that we will also see Sean consolidate the remaining bits and pieces of Mubbys assets. These will come cheap too and together with Wassana add about 2500 bod to net production. Essentially, VLE will be the sole owner of its producing assets. Ditching Rubbi was also a good move as it saves $100 million in funds that ...more

Initially VLE wanted to spend 100m on Rubbi, to get 10k/d ?  That is not bad.   If spend the same 100m on infill wells, how much can they produce?
Comment by Suppe11 on Apr 30, 2023 12:04pm
I think the $ 100m would lead to 5k bpd at Rossukon.
