Right and with all of these "Coups"  and gov't changes over the decades there has never been any direct effects to the oil and gas policies. Pan Orient Energy, Chevron etc have never had an issue with getting paid or funds leaving the  country.   End of story.

Oilmoney is the one of the main reasons those coups happen. They would never want to kill their golden goose. If anything, it would be more protection to keep the dollar flowing.

Thats why i only buy natural resources stock in militady dictatorships  backed by ironman leaders who will not hesitaye to raze 1000 proteatets and arrest another 350K like Turkey in the US backed coup. No one in lawn chiars will block anything like Canada they get lead instead haha. Like cartels, theres a risk od subordinates overthowing geezers and siezing all oil via the courts via tax

I know Thailand pretty well... none of the parties that are in power or will be are against the industry as far as I know... they all want the flow of oil and tax revenues to continue.  It's a non issue, people in most of thailand I doubt are aware of how much oil is being produced but would likely be proud of it. Nothing better for oil business than a deeply entrenched, heavily armed, ruthless military dictatorship with a democratic mask.  Its the ultimate partner...until it isnt.   Like all commercial armed cartels the priotity is cash flow preservation. Sadly thismperfect businesw model is under threat as we saw with the various arab springs, western war mongering, and popular uprisings.
