Dividend

I think they will announce one either with next quarter results or shortly after.  A nickel a month is only 60 million a year.  Pretty douable with current cash flows. 20% divi. Easy 7$ target. Even half that it rockets.

I agree.  The company really don't need that much cash for acquisitions.

You both don't know, what you're talking about. If you search for an income vehicle, pick another stock. These oil fields are past prime, and Valeura has debt of 30m with a 25% interest bill. They need growth capex for the Nong field, now they opened a new possibility for Wassana (-> infrastructure capex) and keep in mind the future abandonment costs (Wassan wasn't the problem here ...more

During Q2, the Company repaid US$18.5 million of the facility. Progressive repayments of the debt are continuing and the Company aims to repay the facility in full during the remainder of 2023.   That debt should be gone by year end. The company may need more cash for expansion that you've mentioned or another acquisition (gas asset). I would imagine they could get a lower interest ...more

Suppe11; totally agree …. & I have pointed this out here on few occasions that it is way too soon for dividends at this stage. Abandoning liabilities and a short life of current proven reserves dictates a different focus for VLE; one that is dedicated to longer term growth. The company still needs to assess what they acquired & how to move forward with those properties. For now they are ...more

I agree with cyber37. If any of the posters vote for a dividend, I will vote against you. If FCF, pay off all debts first, then drill even more. Stop wasting everyone's time pushing dividends. I will put those people on 'ignore'.

While nice, that you follow my arguments regarding the divi....maybe I can lead you to the right path regarding growth hahaha. If you meant inorganic growth...this is THE or at least one of the (I won't claim to know really every public oil company) cheapest oil company in the world. If you are the cheapest oiler in the world...you got no choice, but to buy your own shares. Any other ...more

I love the idea of a Divi and look forward to the day it happens, but, they need to be north of 50,000 Boepd with another asset that clearly has a longer reserve life profile. Not that I think there is anything wrong with the Thailand assets, quite the contrary, I think it's an excellent asset and the reserves will continue to be extended for many many years to come. Just that those with ...more

i agree with a previous poster that this company is severely undervalued by the market, hence best piece of business, although un-exciting for new shareholders or the aging millions seeking dividend income, is a share buyback. Share buyback not likely to happen as the Company is rightly using their immense monthly CF/capital by drilling up their PUDS and field extensions to add more reserves ...more

The market price is always the correct price.  Sure it has potential but VLE is essentially a start up with seriois integrity issues like "no dilution" and two dilutions of 20% within weeks, and a record of accidents as well as way overtimed deliverables fulfillment. Amateur hour at VLE. Never let an engineer with an ego be CEO. They need 2-3 years to get that major baggage behind ...more

Yes, I understand the fiscally prudent thoughts around farming the Thrace out for a royalty, but to me if the Thrace gas is there, and we left it on the table .. what a shame. Was watching an interesting presentation on the new Fishbone method of drilling unconventional oil plays. In the presentation they said that using this method can double the IP30 rates with only a 10% (I think?) increase in ...more
