Nice move & I will not speculate too much on reasons behind it but IMHO rates from Nong Yao C may be a culprit here; at least I wish that what it is. Six horizontals drilled in a mature reservoir is an example of applying technology and Western ‘know how’ to optimize recoveries from aging fields. Aside from looking for new plays optimizing those fields through new technology & knowledge is

Hey cyber, they actually drilled 7 wells... six plus an appraisal well which will be converted to a producer.  I think we'll be pleasantly surprised by the results of this drilling program. Getting the tax credit over the finish line, plus a small-ish (~10mbpd) acquisition, would set VLE on a sharp upward path.
