Coal Exports from B. C.   Coal is the single biggest export from B. C. The coal is almost all Metalurgical coal ‘Coking” used for making steel Its interesting that there are 3 export terminals for coal on the B. C. Coast, near White Rock, North Vancouver and Prince Rupert. The biggest mining area is in the east Kootneys near Sparwood, just along the Alberta border. I am told there are 12 to ...more

Deltaport is where the terminal is located.I was at Crescent Beach the other day and saw the longest train I ever saw and it was a coal train.
