Being pinned down and it's pissing me off. Baytex has enjoyed an 800% increase since the lows, Ovintiv a 1000% increase, and we are sitting at 400% and a bit. Overdue for a surge.

finally. someone sane posting something reasonable. any idea as to why the stock is not going anywhere? I say that it should be in the double digits. but I am not as smart as highbeta1, lickyquickieV2, sheep azz bountyboy and the biggest fraudster of all homoney42 so we wait and wait and wait for management to do right by shareholders. only management doesn't care about doing right by ...more

@Trandswapper: Baytex went up recently because its share price fell a lot more than CPG. Ovintiv is up so much because its well results have shown to be some of the most producttive in all of the Montney. RBC recently published a report of the top 10 most productive oil/natural gas wells in Canada and OVV had 5 of the 10 spots in the nat gas category.  Nonetheless, I fully expect CPG to ...more

Agreed over the 5 year chart, bit look a t the 3 year and you'll see what I mean. Baytex and Ovintiv were my horses when oil crashed, but I pulled out of Ovintiv way too early and recently exited Baytex at 2 and increased my stake in CPG. Took profit too early on both those plays, but you can't time the market. I think CPG is in a better position than Baytrx fundamentally, and also has a ...more
