"inevitable consequences"?  Take a look at fatalities in Alberta ascribed to covid and you will find there is still not a single death for people under 20 years old in a province of 4.5 million.  For older groups of people, the fatality rate creeps up steadily but death is still a  very small portion of the outcomes.   From these numbers it appears

I completely agree, unfortunately taking responsibility for ones choices is clearly not that popular these days, much easier to find someone on social media that is in a similar situation so you don't have to piss and moan alone
