$84 WTI today

Different start to the day today.  For the past number of days the price of WTI has risen in asia markets and promptly pushed back down by the north american market open.  Today they let it rise.  Looking like today we could close at or slightly above $84. Lots of news this morning about the oil shortage and cushing running out.  Here we go.

While I believe that the current supply & demand balance is being patiently controled by OPEC+, there still remains capacity within OPEC+, and there are still a large number of private companies willing to drill.  I do also believe that many publicly traded companies are controlling their spending, but at some point if the price maintains >$80 WTI, supply will be increased.  Greed ...more

Yes..time for them to address the NCIB.  I think there is now line of sight for complete repayment during Q4 of the cash borrowed to buy the Shell Kaybob assets.  And on top of that, it appears there will be FCF on hand to put aside for the upcoming dividend Plus get a good start on the NCIB in Q4.  C'mon CPG, get that NCIB rolling and see what it does to share price.
