Buy the weakness

I agree with this take on where the price of oil is going both short and longer term. If Biden releases oil from the SPR, I'll be buying the dip. In two months time we'll be through seasonal flu season and  the current covid fear mongering will wane. Talk will instead be of winter vacations and gearing up for a spectacular summer driving season.

Yeah I could see Biden and the demonrats doing something like that. Based on that video clip I actually think Biden would ban WTI exports, as it would raise fuel prices and absolutely crush US shale and hurt Canadian producers.  Considering the two options (excluding a third whereby he does nothing), it's going to be interesting which strategy he chooses.  I think if he taps into the ...more

Banning WTI exports, that's funny.   Like we live in a world where the President can do anything he wants, unbound by rules or world trade deals or Congress or the Senate. Maybe he'll just ban people driving cars.  LOL.

I agree also with that guests take.. and then you have Mike McGlone on BNN this morning talking BS about oil prices struggling to maintain these levels and going down.. aside from daily wobbles that $80 WTI price is holding and I suspect OPEC+ will maintain that level as best they can.. that's a healthy level for profitability..

Mike Mcglone of Bloomberg Intelligence ( an oxymoron if I ever heard one) has been wrong for 6 months .
