Global shortage of oil in 2022?

Good article using latest December data showing majority of OPEC+ countries were unable to meet their oil production quotas in 2021. Forecast is that OPEC+ will not be able to meet the quotas they set for themselves in 2022. I think any confirmation by OPEC at their meeting next week of production quota increases will have little effect on the rising price of oil. Instead the metric to watch seems to be the econonomy killing policies politicians are hinting at imposing.

At some point the world is going to clue in and realize that covid was a setup to hide a financial crisis, and that we are running out of oil and set to experience a severe energy crisis before enough renewables come online to offset.

The only thing that really matters is what the majority believe.  I predict within the next 24 months the narrative shifts from a shortage due to lack of investment; to a lack of oil because reserves are running dry due to decades of excessive ...more

Electric vehicles are one of many ways governments will further control the population. Most people have been brainwashed to think that the push for those kinds of vehicles is to save the planet. What a joke. They don't think for one second how easy it will be for governments to limit their use of those vehicles once there will be no other options available. For those that are offended by this ...more

"At some point the world is going to clue in and realize that covid was a setup to hide a financial crisis, and that we are running out of oil and set to experience a severe energy crisis before enough renewables come online to offset." I agree in general with what you're saying.  One thing I question is the notion that renewables will seamlessly come online to fill in for ...more

How are we going to get off fossil fuels, there is not enough copper, rare earths etc in the world to meet the production of elec vehicles if we stop allowing gas powered cars, even if we discover more it is a multi year process to build a mine which is a polluting event even if you can get the permits nowadays, in parts of America when they have extreme weather there is not enough hydro to meet ...more
