Fake undertaking

Wilkinson has apparently indicated in Europe today that Canada will increase its oil production by 200,000 to 300,000 barrel per day by the end of the year to replace Russian oil. He made it sound that would be easy for the industry to achieve this increase. I'm sure he consulted with them before making that promise. Of course not.  This so called "news" has been repeated by our corrupt media everywhere. Makes it look like the Libs/NDP care about their European "friends". This is of course an empty undertaking that will be used against the industry when in the end they will have  "failed" to respond to the demand for help from the Europeans who have been demonizing Canadian oil not unlike the Libs/NDP. Giant hypocrites.

They need to make Ottawa come out and publicly declare Oil and Gas as good. They need to make Ottawa come out and state that they will support Oil and gas and pipelines. They need to get rid of environmentalists in their cabinet. They need to get rid of or cap carbon tax. You really think this is going to happen?

What they really are doing is sending a signal to party insiders that they should invest in Canadian E&Ps if they haven't already.  Never understimate the personal greed of politicians and insiders who support them.  Liberals especially with their warped sense of personal entitlement  and perceived moral superiority.  This is why we've seen in the last 6 years the ...more

Maybe. Thats one way of looking at it. Could it also be that if Cdn companies actually came to the rescue that their profits would not find a special surtax on them?  Keep in mind that the libtards are in bed with the NDP. The NDP would love to impose a special tax on any business that produces a profit. We already heard the words come out of the mouth of JAGMEAT about imposing surtaxes on ...more

My comment was meant to be somewhat tongue-in-cheek. The angle you suggest is interesting. In my history, I've learned it wise to trust a politician only when his/her personal financial interests align with your own.  I suspect strongly that many liberal (and ndp) members have been quitely divesting of certain holdings and aquiring energy over the last few years. Yes we have both been ...more

Agree.  This certainly looks like nothing more than another "leader" trying to jawbone the price of oil lower.  Biden tried the same a few weeks back regading Venezuela.  Following the near death experience of past years, with western governments piling on with their attack on the sector, all companies should hold fast. I think you are very correct about public sentiment. ...more

So there was a gathering in Brussels yesterday attended by Biden and Trudeau. Watching mainly European channels, first thing I noticed all men wearing black shoes while Trudeau was wearing ugly brown. Must be more politically correct, lol.  The Europeans are horrified by the brutal attack on Ukraine and the threat of nuclear or chemical weapons. And they are ashamed that they are dependent ...more

Agreed AB.. they're already looking at the financial sector with a special tax to strip away some of those profits.. guaranteed they'll do the same to the O&G industry with the stroke of a pen.. :-/

While I agree with some of your points I respectfully disagree with simply sitting back.  Under Notley I recall CEOs of oil companies standing shoulder to shoulder with her many years ago to voice their support for her climate agenda.  Over the subsequent years it was proven that it was pointless.  It did nothing to stop the attack on Canadian oil by NGOs and our governments. Many ...more

Spain and other European countries are facing a reckoning for their reckless anti fossil fuel policies promoted by Greta and other much more powerful nefarious actors such as the biggest asset allocators in the world, the IEA and the WEF. World economies are going to collapse setting up the already developing new world order and Great Reset. MADRID, March 25 (Reuters) - The Spanish government ...more

Yeah Dog isn't it ironic.. the gov'ts all push for the green agenda.. listen to fools like Greta.. and now have to subsidise the truckers for the problem they created.. oh what happens when the chickens come home to roost.. now they expect the oil companies to pay for 25% of the rebate..! What do you call a politician at the bottom of a lake.. a good start..!!!

This is why it's always been a good idea to exchange some paper currency for physical gold you can actually hold in your hands.  Still the best and most likely way to preserve wealth if/when currencies collapse or savings are absconded by corrupt IMF controlled puppet governments.
