Food for thought..

India and China are buying cheap crude from Russia.. filling their SPR's far less than Brent prices are at... US selling crude from its SPR by the millions of barrels.. price not moving down as Biden wanted.. by summer covid lockdowns will be ended in China.. travel and global markets will get back to an upswing although a bit muted.. and the US will need to replace the SPR at higher prices than they managed to sell at and be forced to buy at higher prices while India and China are stocked to the brim already.. what would your gut be telling you..??

It would not surprise me to see Biden continue depleting the SPR so as to irreperably damage it. Doing so would throw the US economy and country into complete turmoil as they would have no means of buffering prices. With France proclaiming an end to their use of fossil fuels, the US will probably follow suit. Biden will proclaim the SPR is no longer needed as alternative energy is capable of ...more

Yup Anschutz.. its like the inmates running the asylum..! The World in need of energy to avoid black & brown outs, countries (US) begging other totalitary regimes for more crude and an ever present shortfall in supply, and these politicians blindly following their egos right to the grave..! Nat gas prices in Europe sky high, coal plants being fired up to fill the emergency power needs ...more

Crazy isn't it. Completely planned and intended... but still bat sh!t crazy.  Here's a good documentary you might enjoy explaining who and what actually caused the inflation we're experiencing. Also shows who profited. Carney and Trudeau along with other western leaders are the ones public need to hold to account.  Govt leaders either don't grasp the harm they have ...more

Well said Moe. Exactly.  Once again as I said before , Putin thought this out more than they give him credit for.  He sat there and played the game of they do this , I do this , and ran every single scenario.   I am mot suggesting he wins in the end.  However , your painting the picture of Biden and NATO falling into the TRAP SET .  Think about this , the world Is full of ...more

I wouldn't give Putin a whole lot of credit here.. he's selling his crude at ~$30 discount to world prices.. soon he might have to discount it further as he's running out of storage and insurance companies won't touch his freight anymore.. India and China are just using Russia for their own gain and could care less about Putin's future.. once they have their SPR's filled ...more

Remember my post on May 26th.. Bill O'Grady just mentioned on BNN that countries are starting to hoard crude.. meanwhile the US is releasing from the SPR.. what could possibly go wrong for the US in a few quarters/years.. Old Joe better take off those rose coloured glasses.. there's a train coming down the tracks.. :-0
