I wonder what the urgency was with this aquisition?

Seems to me they could have waited a year or two and accumulated enough cash to do the aquisition then..............why borrow $1.7 billion when you already have $1 billion + free cash flow per year.........they did a marvelous job reduceing debt ......just do not see the reasoning for jumping back into debt at this particular time in cpg production cycle

Because the opportunity was there and Seller wanted to sell, a decision by CPG management found a fit.  Take it or leave it; it would not last a year or more.

In a year this will look really good. Even now I like it and Their last buy worked out very well. Oil looks really good for next few years!!

Yes, the oil looks really good for the next few years, this is the reason to make the good  money with the oil sector, so do your dd , time to buy still here for now, in few months  the good timming will be less than actualy.
