They should stop buying back shares

There is nothing to gain of significance in reduceing share count...........put that money either into shareholders pockets or pay down the debt............many oil companies have alot more shares outstanding and besides we i mean us shareholders never know what the future holds......like maybe they wanna buy wcp for example and they decide to issue 100 million shares to do it.......there goes cpg share count higher again.......but once money is in shareholders pockets they cannot get it back.......that is why they dont increase the divi.....imo

I agree with you S&F... I'll never complain about giving money back to shareholders. Board and management with a low share count would be like a Vancouver crack addict with money in their pocket.

Agree, but for a different reason.  They need to pay down quickly the debt from their most recent acquisition, the Montney property, so as to strengthen their balance sheet.
