Demise of Cushing Oil

I hadn't thought of this aspect of oil storage. Makes sense that the actual available useable oil in the Cushing oil repository is actually less than the reported volume/capacity/stock on hand.  I think we could be witnessing the next leg up for crude.

I was reading on US onshore barrels and I remember being surprised about the amount in piplines just so they function. If my memory isn't failing it was ~130MM barrels. Combined with the unusable oil in all the US storage tanks means the onshore oil is vastly overstated.
