As much as the media can try and spin this as an 'adoption' issue, the reality is people are waking up the realization that EVs are impractical considering their very high cost.  People are also becoming weary of the every increasing electronic gadgetry embedded in vehicles and the required recurring subscription to use the hardware they already paid for.  We also see how ...more

EVs are ok as a second or third vehicle in the family, otherwise it's just an expensive toy. Not practical, or I'd say useless, in cold climates like Canada where the use of heaters quickly drains the battery. About 40% loss of range at 20F (-6C) according to AAA. I often commute between Toronto and Ottawa, 4 hours nonstop or 4.5 hours with one stop for a stretch and a coffee. No need ...more

My exact thoughts . i do the TO to Montreal route to see my mother.  Can you imagine the footbal fields of chargers required to supply all the holiday travellers for it to be even remotely as convenient as an ICE  vehicle ?   And even then you are not in and out in 5 minutes .  There will be fights, anger . Broken chargers are common. Incompatible plugs , etc.   Enjoy ...more

The problem with EV' is that it's  a stepping stone to hydrogen. The Toyota Marai recently broke the world record recently with a 845 mile zero emission journey. That's 1360km. Iots of trips to MTL with that.

Zero emissions, Lol. Not even if it's green hydrogen, made from electricity generated by wind and solar  hardware which is very labour and energy intensive to manufacture and dominated by Chinese (using coal). Not to mention construction of electrolysis plants that will be using tons of clean water. Only climate change warriors like the prime minister and his climate extremist minister ...more

Not many gas pumps attached to oil wells. Don't get me started with oil sands.

Did you mention Prime Minister? Very convenient when necessary for you again.

No power attached to a GM plant. They work with candles.
