meh..you are comparing APPLES to ORANGES..different production profiles, different dividends etc ..maybe it's good to hedge your bets with both but I am 100% in with CPG now having bought new positions @ $9.61 and then $9.49 ..simple rational because these are lower prices than the bought deal..CPG just caught up in BAD TIMING and analyst outlooks are double what the current share price is ...more

Everyone has thier own metric valuations they like to compare I like to harken back pre 2023 and listen to the biggest issues for shareholders and one that has fortunately reversed this year and thats reducing  debt and paying shareholders to own thier companies. The metrics that stand out for me are debt and payout ratio. Debt because invevitably companies will need to renew credit lines and ...more

I often compared and traded the two before the HHRS acquisition. Different story now and the fact is that the $2.6 B price was too high. They paid $1.7 B for Gold Creek, which produced less but had much larger acreage. I remember selling SDE and buying CPG, recently sold all my HHRS but bought something else. In fact sold 40% of CPG.
