OPEC meeting delayed

Oh oh... OPEC meeting has been delayed until next Thursday (Nov 30).  Explains the sudden drop in WTI this morning.

The headlines I'm reading are that Russia over produced on their quota.. desperation is creeping in in Russia for $$ and this will be short lived.. the lack of investment in Russia and the over producing of the existing wells will come around to bite them in the butt in a few quarters... I'm banking on it..  ;-)

News about Russia over producing was reported last week.  What seems to be getting raised is the over production by other OPEC members, increase in US shale and effect of a strengthening US dollar.  General thought is that OPEC set their sights too high on the price of oil and inadvertently stimulated too much non-OPEC production.  There's concern North American shale companies ...more
