Ahead of fourth-quarter earnings season for Canadian small and mid-cap energy companies, ATB Capital Markets analyst Amir Arif trimmed his estimates across the sector to reflect a reduced outlook for oil prices.

That led him to lower his target prices for 10 of the 12 companies in his coverage universe.

Crescent Point Energy Corp. (“outperform”) to $12 from $13. Average: $13.65.

Well I'm playing the contrarian these days... firms coming out with lower targets tells me its time to buy.. so I put another log on the fire this AM.. do I need more CPG, not really, but this sale won't last too long IMO.. Thinking + Time will tell if my theory plays out..?  ;-)

Great these Analysts are so smart, commodity goes up raise target, commodity goes down lower price target. Wish I woukd of thought of that.

Y'a  i mention before my kids can do as good as these analysts , I guess these days you don't need much creativity to get these jobs , they just don't know what to say anymore ,
