Financials

Well anyone getting curious ? Financials come out on May 10 but the oil sector is starting to release now. It will be interesting to see what the stock price ldoes today on Cenovus with this downward pressure on oil. To me their financials killed it with also an upgrade on dividends and a bonus dividend. If this is any indicator we should see a bump on the dividend for CPG. Thoughts ? Glta Lash

I don't see a dividend upgrade or bonus in the cards.  Management was clear.  There will be no increase in dividend until debt is under control. Shortly after the HH deal, analysts were saying an increase in dividends would likely not occur until mid to late 2026. Until then, paying down debt is management's priority.  The price of oil has been good this past quarter, but ...more

I agree I don't see a divi increase or special divi in the cards this year.. any excess cash should go to the debt.. get that paid down asap IMO.. forget the share buybacks as well.. reducing debt and interest costs is priority..

Thanks for the update Lash. Had not seen their report yet. My guess CPG will have similar results, but if you listen to tthe President's interview last week on BNN, he indicated paying down debt and assimilating HH would be their greatest focus.  4 percent dividend is OK.  CPG has had a nice little run lately and is digesting the gain as we speak. Results should move this up and ...more

Thanks I didn't see it.  with the big build re the EIA oil report it will be a tough day . I still think we are on the good part of this market especially with OPEC  cutting back on production and targeting $90 oil. As the economies get better and the inflationary issues get better I think it will happen and sooner than later.  was just in Vegas , the prices are starting to ...more
