Ticker change date

Veren's shares are expected to begin trading under its new symbol "VRN" on both the TSX and NYSE on or around May 15, 2024. Veren will also launch its new website at www.vrn.com in conjunction with the ticker change.

I started out with Alberta Energy Co. shares.  After multiple splits and name changes, I can't really understand the necessity.  Probably the same with this one.

REMEMBER ENCANA ??? Man, do I ever! What a fool company that was. Made all the wrong moves/decisions EVERY time...the only "timing" it had was BAD timing!!! First it was get rid of oil assets to become a focused gas company....so it spent LARGE to acquire new, uber expensive frac gas assets in the Marcellus boom! Shortly after that oil price goes to 140 a barrel and gas crashes down to ...more
